When it's 27 degrees out, but you drive with the window down because it's really nice outside.

Today is one of those days. It’s supposed to get into the 40's this weekend, I might actually try to get the motorcycle out.

How’s the Ski-wheeler working out for you?

This whole week...aside from the crud in the air.

I have about 5 minutes on it, just a quick puts around my yard. Other than that we haven’t really gotten enough snow to give it a proper evaluation and review. But for the 5 minutes I had it out, It. Was. Glorious, and worked a lot better than I expected.

People wonder if I’m insane when I go outside in a t-shirt and shorts when it’s hovering around freezing.

The thing is, if my body doesn’t feel like it’s freezing, it’s quite happy to send warm blood to my extremities, especially if I’m constantly moving and generating extra heat.

Its funny how 30 degrees and sunny in the winter time can be UNGODLY HOT and feel like the world is melting. While in the summer time, 50 degrees and a little breezy at night could end up feeling like a goddamn freezer. One of my favorite times driving my Miata with the top down though was a day that was about 18 degrees and brilliantly sunny. Sure I had the heat blasting and a nice winter coat and hat on, but it was just some lovely weather. That was absolutely perfect! Maybe it was because of the week or two of negative 10 degrees or worse that just made that feel so good.

Exactly, after a week or two of below zero temps anything approaching freezing feels like a heat wave.

It’s a glorious looking machine. We’ve got plenty of snow here in Maine come on over!

I’ve been to Maine, love it, reminds me a lot of northern Minnesota, but with an ocean. It’s a little far from South Dakota though.

The really crappy part is that there is snow in some places near by, in big open ditches, but those are groomed snowmobile trails and OHVs are not allowed.
